LOL, ok I will admit that this was a long time coming but to be honest, change is good. Why the change after all of these years of being Michael Ali Photography? Well that is a long story and that is why this blog is here.
When we first started the site, just like everyone else back in the 1990’s they wanted to have their name in the business page and I/we were like this. We were excited and just like anyone else when starting on the internet or “the information super highway” what it was call so many moons ago. Even though our business name is Images by Studio MAP, we still decided to go with Michael Ali Photography. Well years later, well almost 20 years later we are still conducting business still strong as ever as Michael Ali Photography. Well with the times that change, equipment, clients and expectations, so does our name, however with almost 20 years of brand awareness why now?
Well it was a thing coming; we here at Michael Ali photography have been talking about this change for a while now. We have seen how the direction of our business is going and with that change needed to be a name change. Our old business name seems like that we were an old dinosaur still walking the earth. Also with talking with our clients they also felt that the name felt very “old fashion” so the change was eventually needed. As we are not a one-man operation, and grew to a business model. Michael Ali Photography did not fit the business model and what we offer to both our public and clients.
Therefore, you ask will we change. The answer is yes and no. We are now more of a multimedia service company than just photography. We now offer the latest in both digital photography as well now video production. We are now working on projects with clients that are more than just photography; I can openly say that almost all of the projects that we are working on are more a multimedia nature then a photography one. So having a name for individual vs reflecting us as a production company was the right way to go.
Clients like our new name and direction and that we are still the same people that are taking their photography, video, and doing the same thing as we were doing before. Only thing that has changed is that we are now just a more diverse production company. Also to make note as we made this change to our site, so we did with our social media accounts, again just a name change but the content and everything else is still the same.
