Happy New Year! Yeah we know that we are over 3 weeks late on this but we are still on time for other things, LOL. In any case the new year is here, meaning new things to come ahead for you in this year. One of the things that I, Michael promised myself that is that I should blog more often and that provide more insight on what is going on in Studio MAP – Michael Ali Photography. However seeing that I am over 21 days late to deliver this blog, meaning that this is not a great start to the new year.
However that does not mean the year is ruined………no if anything it shows that we are still committed to making sure that we still deliver our promise of blogging and other items. What the point that I am trying to drive to is that because you tell yourself that you will do something by a certain time does not mean that life gets into the way and remind you that there are other things out there to take time from you.
I was speaking with a fellow photographer earlier this week and she and I were talking about how our family is getting smaller and more distant. I told her being over 3000 miles away from a family makes it hard at times but helps me grow. At that point she asked me what is the most recent pictures that I have of the family and my answer was “over 5 years ago at the least”
Which comes to my rant, when was the last time you have photos of your love ones? At times goes on so do people. We drift away, fight, move on to better things, or even pass on, is it worth some time to get those memories of the good times to have to reflect back on. I know that the meaning of the new year is to usher in the new and let go of the old, but what if the old is what makes you, you? or friends and family that your happy to be with? would it be great to have a memory or 2 to remember why we are who we are? A famous person said once “Those that do not remember their past, are doomed to repeat it in the future” So gets those memories and remember the past, the fun times, the good friends, family and love ones, and then go out there and make new memories based off the ones you already have!
