Why would you do this type of thing to a portrait? Why would someone want this type of work?
Complete creative freedom of artistic or self-expression. Not everyone wants the stereotypical portrait or headshot as a keepsake for the next 50 years. For many, something far more “custom” can capture their likeness forever and fulfill a bucket-list dream at the same time… while it’s not on Camille’s bucket list to reenact Brandon Lee from the Crow, she was always fascinated by mermaids as a little girl. I could definitely see a stylized portrait of her flaunting a flowy tail… maybe an idea for next year!
Until then, how would YOU use “artistic portraiture” beyond Halloween? The limits lie only with your creativity… always wished you could be Marilyn Monroe? Don’t make it an unfulfilled fantasy, take your boudoir photoshoot further and make it a great conversation piece on your wall and smile every time you say “No, that’s actually me!” Seniors love having their portraits on magazine covers and movie posters – let them live out their favorite artistic styles. Want something a little more traditional? There’s nothing more beautiful than a portrait of Mom as an oil painting… guaranteed to get comments with every newcomer’s glance, and you can be sure it’ll last for generations, move after move.
It’s one more thing you CAN’T do by settling for a “shoot and burn” photographer who gives you a disk of plain-old pics. Turning your life into art takes skill, time and experience – but it’s worth having the most unique artwork that you cannot get anywhere or any way other than jumping in and doing it… So be bold! Would you love to see a ravishing portrait of yourself from 100 years ago? Have some fun and tell people it’s your great-grandmother from whom you get your great looks! No matter what you do, you can rest assured that artistic portraits will have a permanent place on your wall and in your heart, and decades from now it’ll be cherished even more by loved ones and the kids you pass it down to. So get crazy-creative and think of your wildest fantasy because we can make it happen – well, we can at least provide the “photographic evidence!
